In a recently held video conference meeting with district level officials, the Chief Minister (CM) spoke about drought management and pre-monsoon. As the pre-monsoon is already getting better across the state, sowing work has started in many places. So, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to distribute sowing seeds and supply fertilizer adequately. Even though the state is receiving good rainfall, drinking water problem is not been solved in some places and care should be taken in supply of drinking water, CM added. Besides, the Chief Minister also instructed strictly that the drinking water should be tested daily.
The CM further instructed that there should not be any shortage of sowing seeds and fertilizers and added that the stock should be made according to the demand. CM also said that in view of the Lok Sabha elections, the development work has been delayed due to the long model code of conduct for about three months.
Siddaramaiah warned that any mistakes that are made due to the negligence of the officials then strict action will be taken. Senior officials will be held responsible if epidemics occur in their respective districts.
The Chief Minister also questioned whether all levels of officials and engineers are going to the villages and listen to the grievances of the public and solving their problems. Farmers should get loans through banks on time and the Chief Minister warned that there should be no shortage of fodder for the cattle.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Chief Minister D.K.Shivakumar instructed to supply clean drinking water to all the residents without giving any reasons otherwise it will impact on the district administration. Sowing seeds and fertilizers should also be provided to farmers in time and directed that more attention should be paid to agricultural activities.
Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda said that the pending drought relief should be released immediately and directed the officials to speed up the development work. In the background of good rains across the state he instructed officials of Agricultural Department to work according to the demands of farmers.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah received information about drought management and pre-monsoon preparations from various District DC’s and ZPCEO’s through video interaction.
