MLA Ponnanna Raises Drinking Water and Road Issues at Progress Review Meeting

A progress review meeting concerning Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu districts was held in Mysuru under the chairmanship of Municipal Administration Minister H.C. Balakrishna.

Chief Minister’s Political Secretary and Virajpet MLA A.S. Ponnanna participated in the meeting virtually and raised issues concerning the Virajpet Town Municipal Council and Ponnampet T P limits.

He called for immediate attention to drinking water, sanitation, drainage, roads, municipal building works and infrastructure development. He also urged that vacant staff and officer positions within the Ponnampet T P and Virajpet Municipal Council limits be filled without delay.

Responding to the demands, the Minister directed officials to take immediate action.

Senior officials of the Municipal Administration Department, Kodagu Deputy Commissioner Somasekhar, Virajpet Municipal Council Chief Officer Nachappa, Ponnampet Chief Officer Gopi and others were present on the occasion.
