Another worker seriously injured

Incident Reported at a Coffee Plantation near Ghattadal, Maldare, in Virajpet Taluk. One labourer was killed in elephant attack, while other sustained serious injuries. The dead has been identified as Gopal, 44, and another worker, Jadhav, 26, sustained serious injuries and were admitted to hospital.The incident occurred while the workers were working in a coffee plantation, when a wild elephant emerged from the forest edge. Forest Department officials inspected the site.
