The repair work on the Kalur-Mandalpatti road has been underway for the past four days under the direction of Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda.

A week ago, residents of Kalur village had appealed to Dr. Mantar Gowda regarding the poor condition of the road and the difficulties faced by students due to the absence of bus services.

The MLA had informed the villagers that complete reconstruction of the road would not be possible immediately owing to the onset of the monsoon. However, he had assured them that temporary repairs would be undertaken to restore bus connectivity. In keeping with his assurance, temporary repair works are currently being carried out.

Assistant Executive Engineer Girish of the Public Works Department is present at the site and is supervising the work.

The villagers have expressed their appreciation to Dr. Mantar Gowda for responding promptly to their request.
