The Kodagu district unit of the BJP has launched a postcard campaign opposing recent changes in the SSLC examination evaluation system introduced by the state government.
Under the previous system, marks from six subjects totaling 625 were considered for results. However, the new notification proposes grading the third language instead of awarding marks, and excludes it from pass criteria.
The BJP has expressed concern that this move could dilute academic standards and reduce students’ respect for languages. Through the campaign, the party is urging the government to withdraw the notification.
