Kodava Samaja Pays Tribute to General Thimayya

The Kodava Samaja celebrated the birth anniversary of General K.S. Thimayyawith tributes at the General Thimmaiah Circle, where dignitaries laid wreaths at his statue.

Speaking at a subsequent event, MLA A.S. Ponnanna said General Thimayya’s life and achievements should be widely known and emulated. Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda described both Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa and General Thimmaiah as “jewels of the Indian Army”.

Former minister M.C. Nanaiah and other dignitaries highlighted the need to remember their service and contributions to the nation.

Students, NCC cadets, and members of the Kodava community participated in the programme.
