The long-standing commuting problem faced by residents of Hammiyala has been addressed following the intervention of Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda.   Villagers had complained that the bus operating on the Madikeri-Mukkodlu-Hammiyala route was not running regularly, causing considerable inconvenience to commuters. Despite repeated complaints to officials at the Madikeri KSRTC depot, the issue remained unresolved.

Frustrated by the lack of action, the villagers approached MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda, who immediately convened a meeting with KSRTC officials at the Madikeri depot in the presence of the villagers.

During the meeting, the MLA directed the officials to promptly resolve the transport issues on the Madikeri-Mukkodlu-Hammiyala route and ensure regular bus services. Following his intervention, the bus service on the route has now been restored as per the villagers’ demand.
