Coorg Public School (COPS) observed Constitution Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour through a special assembly organised on the school campus. The programme aimed at instilling constitutional values among students and reminding them of the significance of India’s supreme law.
The assembly began with Chengappa administering the National Pledge, followed by Sathvik Somanna, who led the recitation of the Preamble to the Constitution. The entire school joined in with pride, reaffirming their commitment to the guiding principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
A book review on ‘ An Introduction to the Constitution of India’ by D D Basu, was presented by Naman Muthanna, who highlighted the central theme of the book and its relevance to constitutional values. Rushil Gowa then addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of celebrating Constitution Day and the vital role students play in imbibing and upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution.
Students and staff also viewed an informative video on the framing of the Indian Constitution, which offered insightful perspectives on the making of the historic document.
Speaking on the occasion the Principal, M. Ramachandra, stressed the importance of reminding every student of the rights, duties, and responsibilities laid down in the Constitution. He encouraged students to internalize these values and contribute to the nation as responsible citizens.
The programme was compered by Aarna Bhimaya, who ensured the smooth flow of events.
The celebration successfully reinforced the significance of the Constitution and inspired students to uphold its ideals in their daily lives.
