More than 200 personnel led by Sugreeva participated in the operation
The Forest Department has succeeded in capturing a 38-year-old male elephant that was allegedly destroying agricultural crops and scaring members of the public in Yadur, which falls under Kannangala Gram Panchayat.

Orders for 3 Elephants to be Captured
After the recent attack on a labourer, which resulted in his death, the government had ordered the capture of three elephants. The Forest Department has now located and captured two elephants and shifted them to the Dubare camp. The department has taken another break and will resume the operation after locating the remaining elephant that is causing trouble. Five teams, including Captain Sugreeva of Dubare camp, were involved in the operation.
The efforts of the team led by Chief Conservator of Forests Sonal Vrishni and DFO Vinuta Chauhan have paid off. As soon as news of the elephant’s capture spread, people around Kannangala villagers gathered to watch the captured elephant being loaded into a special vehicle.
Under the guidance of Chief Conservator of Forests Sonal Vrishni, DFO Vinuta Chauhan and ACF Tehsil Banu, forest officers Shivaram, Manoj, Devaraj, Shashi and Prashant, Sunil, and RRT personnel who came from various places participated in the operation to capture the wild elephants.
The government has ordered the capture of three wild elephants that have been crisscrossing plantations or have caused human casualties.
