A 24-year-old youth allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself at his residence in Kumbaladal village near Napoklu on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kavan (24), son of Chandrashekhar and Jaji, residents of the village.
According to police, Kavan allegedly used a firearm kept in the house to shoot himself. He died on the spot.
Personnel from the Napoklu Police Station visited the scene and conducted an inspection before registering a case.
The exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is underway.
