Mysuru Woman Dies Due to Suspected Gas Geyser Leak at Homestay in Somwarpet

A 27-year-old woman from Mysuru died in a tragic incident allegedly caused by a gas geyser leak at a homestay in Somwarpet recently.

The deceased has been identified as Vinuta, daughter of Jagannath and Renuka, residents of Papanna Barangay in Yaraganahalli, Mysuru.

Vinuta had traveled to Kodagu on a leisure trip and was staying at a homestay in Chaudlu village near Somwarpet.

According to reports, she entered the bathroom to take a bath on Sunday morning and is believed to have died due to a gas leak from a gas geyser installed in the bathroom.

Sources said the bathroom reportedly did not have a window or adequate ventilation.

A case has been registered at the Somwarpet Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
