The Arebhashe Academy Honorary Award Presentation ceremony for 2025 was held at Ambedkar Bhavan in Mangaluru on Saturday. The event was organised by the Department of Kannada and Culture in association with the Karnataka Arebhashe Sanskriti and Sahitya Academy.
Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. U.T. Khader Farid, Health and Family Welfare Minister and Dakshina Kannada District in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, former Sulya Lions Governor M.B. Sadashiva, Academy President Sadanand Mavaji, Coastal Development Board Chairman M.A. Gafoor, Mangaluru Electricity Supply Company Chairman K. Harish Kumar, Karnataka State Minimum Wage Advisory Board Chairman T.M. Shahid Tekkil, Karnataka Eco-Tourism Development Board Chairperson Shalet Lavina Pinto, Karnataka Geru Development Corporation Chairperson Mamatha D.S. Gatti, and MLC Ivan D’Souza were present.
Dakshina Kannada District Guarantee Implementation Committee President Bharat Mundodi, Kodagu Gowda Society Union President Anand Karandlaje, former Academy member Lokaiah Gowda K, Vokkaligara Gowda Seva Sangha President Soumya Sukumar, Youth Unit President Kiran Budleguthu, and others also attended.
For the year 2025, the Arebhashe Academy Honorary Awards were presented to:
- Anantharaja Gowda Puttur for his contributions to Arebhase Research and Literature.
- Lokeshwari Vinayachandra for her contributions to Arebhashe Organisation and Social Service.
- Katratana Lalitha Ayyanna for her contribution to Arebhashe Literature.
