The Shobha Yatra of ten tableaux held in Madikeri on Vijayadashami concluded with grandeur and festive splendor. This year, a very large crowd gathered to witness the beautifully crafted mythological scenes and the spectacular movements of the ten tableaux. The District Police Department made extensive security arrangements to maintain order, deploying additional police personnel to manage the crowd and ensure peace throughout the event.

The Shobha Yatra began with the tableau from Pete Sri Rama Mandira, depicting ‘Geethopadesha,’ the moment when Lord Krishna imparted the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna.
Dechuru Sri Rama Mandira presented a tableau on ‘Rama-Anjaneya Vaibhava.’

The DandinaMariyamma Temple Committee portrayed the slaying of the demon Andhasura by Lord Shiva. The Chowdeshwari Balaka Bhakta Mandali, Sri Kanchi Kamakshamma and Kundoor Motte ChowattiMariyamma Temples, Sri Kodandarama Temple Committee, Kote Mariyamma, Kote Mahaganapathy, and Karavale Bhagavathi Temple Committees each presented mythological themes that captivated and mesmerized the spectators in their own unique ways.

However, during the morning prize announcement for the Dasamantapas, a few committee members climbed onto the stage alleging bias in the results, leading to a brief commotion. The situation was brought under control through timely police intervention.
In the Shobha Yatra of Madikeri, the first place was jointly awarded to Sri Kote Ganapathi Temple and Sri Kote Mariyamma Temple. The second place went to Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Temple, while the third prize was secured by Sri Dandina Mariyamma Temple.
