Basavanahalli Murder Case Accused Arrested

Kodagu Police have arrested Theertha (25), a resident of Basavanahalli, in connection with the murder of Murali (48), a resident of Kottayam, Kerala. The incident took place in Basavanahalli village under the jurisdiction of Kushalnagar Rural Police Station.

Murali had been assigned to supervise ginger cultivation for a local farmer. It is reported that Theertha grew suspicious about Murali’s relationship with his wife, Jyothi. In a fit of rage, Theertha attacked both his wife and Murali with a stick. Murali succumbed to his injuries, while Jyothi was admitted to the Madikeri District Hospital for treatment.

The Kushalnagar Police visited the crime scene and arrested Theertha on charges of murder. Kodagu District Superintendent of Police K. Ramarajan also visited the spot and later briefed the media at a press conference.
