District In-charge Minister N.S. Bhosaraju, along with MLAs A.S. Ponnanna, Dr. Mantar Gowda, and senior officials, inaugurated the newly constructed Madikeri Taluk Panchayat (TP) Office near Sudarshan Circle, Madikeri.

The building was constructed at a cost of Rs 3.61 crore. Previously located near Sudarshan Circle, the TP office faced space constraints and was unfit for meetings. The new building has two floors and modern facilities. The construction began in 2020-21 with an initial grant of Rs 1 crore and was completed in phases.

TP Executive Officer Shekhar briefed the dignitaries about the facilities. Also present were Guarantee Scheme Chairman Dharmaja Uthappa, DC Venkat Raja, CEO Anand Prakash Meena, and other officials and dignitaries.

Later, Minister Bhosaraju also inaugurated the new Madikeri Taluk Administration Office, built near Sai Stadium.

The new building addresses the shortcomings of the old office that lacked space and modern infrastructure. It is expected to significantly improve administrative efficiency and public access.
