Coorg Public School (COPS), Gonikoppal, hosted the Rev. Fr George Hess Memorial Inter-School Literary Competitions on 28th June, 2025 under the banner of the Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC). The zonal-level event witnessed participation from several schools across the Kodagu and Mysuru regions.
A total of 78 students competed in various events, including Debate, Declamation, Creative Writing, Quiz, and Art, across the Junior, Sub-Junior, and Senior categories.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. M. D. Nanjunda, the Founder Principal of COPS, who encouraged students to embrace literary pursuits and emphasized the importance of healthy competition in shaping character and confidence.

The school campus came alive with powerful speeches, dynamic debates, and artistic expression, as young talents performed with remarkable enthusiasm and flair.
At the valedictory ceremony, Dhanya Subbaiah, President of the School Trust, commended the school for successfully organizing the zonal-level fest and providing a platform for budding talents. The event was also attended by Dr. C. Anthony Raj, Principal of Nalanda Gurukula International Public School.
Dr. M. Ramachandran, Principal of COPS and Zonal Coordinator, expressed appreciation for the staff and students whose efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the event.
The competition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. Winners were awarded medals, trophies, and certificates. The event successfully celebrated the power of language, creativity, and expression.
