The convocation ceremony of the prestigious 2019th batch of Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences was recently held at the campus of the Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences College, Madikeri.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bhagwan B.C., Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, said that, this moment has brought more happiness to their parents, than to the students. Till this day, you were students, and from today you will become professional doctors.
Dr. Bhagwan asserted that it is very important to become a good doctor in the field of medicine along with getting a degree certificate. More than 1,15,000 doctors graduate each year, but only a few can become famous doctors,’.
Speaking further Dr. Bhagwan said that the medical profession is not just a degree, but a field of commitment, generosity and loyalty. He also informed young Doctors that the future of medicine is in their hands. A soft word, a caring touch, and the power of hearing are as important as treatment. It is very necessary to gain knowledge every day and have to learn new things, he said.
He also said that, you are the link between the patients and God, your work is God’s work and wished the young Doctors all the best for their career.
