Today, Kodagu District In-charge and Science and Technology Minister N.S. Bhosaraju inaugurated the three-day program on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development of the 5th Science and Technology Conference in Kannada. The conference is organised in collaboration with Kodagu University, Karnataka Science and Technology Academy, and the Department of Science and Technology, on the occasion of the Amrutha Mahotsava of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa College.
Speaking at the program held at the auditorium of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa College in the city, the Minister said that it is difficult to imagine human life without science and technology.
He said that with the aim of science for all, easy science, and science for sustainable development, the Department of Science and Technology has organized many programs to popularize science across the country.
A.S. Ponnanna, the Chief Minister’s legal advisor and MLA from Virajpet assembly constituency, said that science and technology are essential for human development. In that regard, science and technology have grown immensely in the world.
American space scientists have been on an international space mission for 9 months and have returned to Earth after conducting many scientific researches. He said that this is a milestone in the field of science and technology.
The field of science and technology has currently advanced to artificial intelligence (AI). In that regard, A.S. Ponnanna opined that the good should be used properly to take society on the path of development. As modernity grows, changes can be seen in every field. In that regard, A.S. Ponnanna emphasized that science and technology are essential for the progress of the country.
