2 Crore Grant released for community halls in Virajpet constituency

At the request of A.S. Ponnanna, MLA of Virajpet Assembly Constituency and Legal Advisor to the Chief Minister, the Karnataka State Backward Classes Welfare Department has released a total of Rs. 2 crore for the construction of community houses for various communities in Virajpet Assembly Constituency.

A total of eight selected projects in Virajpet constituency, including 1 Crore rupees for the Sri Narayana Guru Samudaya Bhavana, 5 lakh rupees for the ongoing work for the Hakattur Thombathu Mane Samudaya Bhavana, 10 lakh rupees for Napoklu’s Indira Nagar Samudaya Bhavana, 5 lakh rupees for Chennaianna kote Samudaya Bhavana, 15 lakh rupees for the Community hall next of the Kedamallur Devas Bhandara, 30 lakh rupees for the Savtantara Samudaya Bhavana in Gonikoppa, 25 lakh rupees for Gonikoppa Kodava Samaj Community Hall in Ponnampet taluk, and 10 lakh rupees for the Mayamudi Sri Basaveshwara Samudaya Hall in Ponnampet taluk. The works will be launched next week.

It is noteworthy that Ponnanna, on request of the community had promised in his election manifesto the construction of the Sri Narayana Guru Bhavana(Community) Hall.

During the assembly elections, I had gone to all parts of the constituency, listened to the demands of the people there and assured them that I will fulfill their demands to the best of my ability, Ponnanna said.

The Virajpet MLA told the media that it was my primary duty to fulfill the demands of the people of his constituency.
