New bus service from Madikeri to Bangalore via Somwarpet

Dr. Mantar Gowda, MLA of Madikeri assembly constituency, inaugurated the new ‘Ashwamedha’ one of the ambitious bus service project of the Karnataka government, from Madikeri to Bangalore via Somawarpet-Arakalagodu-Chennarayapatna route. The bus will depart at 10.15 am from Madikeri bus stand and reach Bangalore at 4.45 pm every day.

Speaking on the occasion MLA said that there was a long-standing demand of the public to go to Bangalore on the Madikeri-Somawarpet route, and the demand now has been fulfilled.  

He also informed that three buses are plying  in this route from Madikeri KSRTC depot  to  Bangalore via Somwarpet and 2 buses are plying from Kushalanagar. 

97 buses are plying on different routes from Madikeri KSRTC depot and added that after the start of Kushalanagar KSRTC Depot, more buses will ply. Madikeri KSRTC depot manager Veerabhadraswamy, traffic controller and others were present on the occasion.
