SWGTC Elections…brisk polling witnessed in Kodagu

Brisk polling was witnessed in Kodagu for the South West Graduates and Teachers Constituency (SWGTC) which was held on the 3rd of June.

The teachers’ constituency registered 86.88% polling, while the graduates’ constituency registered 81.09% polling in the district.

Polling booths were set up at five locations for the teachers’ constituency and six locations for the graduates’ constituency. The highest polling in the teachers’ constituency was at the Taluk Panchayat Office in Somwarpet at 91.03%, while the lowest was at Madikeri CMC polling station at 84.35%.

In the graduates’ constituency, the highest polling was at Ponnampet Government PU College booth (86.06%), while the lowest was at the Kushalnagar Government Model School (77.48%).

DC Venkat Raja, ZP CEO Varnith Negi, AC Vinayaka Narvade and Additional DC B N Veena exercised their franchise for graduate’s constituency at the CMC council hall polling booth.
