K Raghupathi Bhat independent candidate of South West Graduates Constituency speaking to the media persons recently said that he did not get any notice from the BJP, adding that he would reply in detail after getting it.
He said that he will also appear before the disciplinary committee of the party if asked to provide an explanation. However, he will not withdraw my candidature at any cost. Stating that he does not know why he was denied a ticket and who was behind it, he suspected the hand of “some leader.”
He further said that if there was a demand to give ticket for Lingayats, they could have given it to Girish Patel from Shivamogga or any other BJP worker. It is not right to issue ticket to those who joined the party recently, he added.
