A wild tusker tries to attack a college student

Changappa G.T., a first-year graduate student of Gonikoppa Cauvery College, who was recently walking on the road near Pudukote Bhadrakali temple in Chambebellur village to catch bus to go college in the early morning was chased by a wild elephant. 

He ran away in shock and while running, he fell on the cement road and got injured and had a severe injury on his hip. Forest officials who received the news visited the spot and sent him to Virajpet hospital for treatment.

Speaking on the occasion some of the villagers informed that more than three elephants have been camping in the area for the past several days with baby elephants are roaming and creating fear among the people. 

The villagers have demanded that the elephants camped in the village should be chased back to forest immediately.
