MLC A H Vishwanath speaking to the media persons at Madikeri recently sought to know why he should not be a ticket aspirant from Congress to contest the Lok Sabha election.

He further said that he was not the only one who defected and added that most politicians including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa, have been in different parties.

Viswanth said that all are aware of the development works he has carried out and urged Congress to give him a ticket. AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge has supported me politically, he added.

The MLC said there is hate politics in the country and said agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are used as a weapon to threaten opponents.T his is harmful to democracy he said.
