Bacharaniyanda Anu Cariappa, District reporter with Republic Kannada Channel from Kodagu district, has been elected as the President of the Kodagu District Working Journalists Association (KDWJA.

J. Rakesh was elected as General Secretary, while Naveen Suvarna, Vanitha Chandramohan, and A. N. Vasu were elected as Vice-Presidents. Mallikarjuna, Rizwan Hussain, and Cheriyamane Suresh were elected as Secretaries.

A.R Kuttappa elected as  State Vice President of theWorking Journalists Association  for the second term while B. R. Savita Rai has been elected as the Director of the State Association.

Elections for the remaining 15 director posts will be held on November 9.
