He was speaking while chairing a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee at the Zilla Panchayat auditorium on Thursday. He directed officials to ensure timely implementation of all Central Government schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, VB-G RAM G, Jal Jeevan Mission, the National Horticulture Mission and the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme. The MP instructed officials to make progress under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and build houses according to the needs of eligible poor families. Dr. Naveen Kumar said that, even after 80 years of Independence, poor and disadvantaged people were still unable to obtain house sites or homes, and that residents of hamlets, including Karadigodu, continued to face difficult living conditions. He urged the authorities to provide at least basic facilities such as education, healthcare, housing, drinking water, house sites and electricity.

The housing scheme implementation officer reported that a survey had been completed for 2,873 houses in the district, but the absence of house sites for some families was delaying construction. The Deputy Commissioner said land had been identified in different parts of the district for people without sites and that steps would be taken as quickly as possible to provide sites and facilitate house construction. The MP stressed that politics should not interfere with the allocation of sites or houses and that officials must act with commitment. Deputy Conservator of Forests Abhishek said a project report had been prepared to address human-wildlife conflict and that compensation would be provided for eligible cases among approximately 3,015 cases under the Forest Department. The MP cautioned that some organisations were allegedly misleading people living in forest areas and asked officials to look into the matter. MLC Suja Kushalappa sought details of places where railway barriers and trenches had been installed and directed Agriculture Department officials to ensure appropriate compensation for crop damage caused by elephants.
Nagesh Kundalpadi said 28 houses in Dabbadaka were without electricity and requested that connections be provided on humanitarian grounds. She also called for proper drought management and measures to ensure farmers did not face hardship. Nagesh Kundalpadi urged officials to ensure uninterrupted drinking-water supplies, prevent infant deaths and pay ASHA workers on time.
R.K. Chandru said the doctor at the Nanj?ayapattana Primary Health Centre was on duty only two days a week, causing difficulties for the public on other days, and suggested restoring the earlier arrangement of doctors and nurses serving through a mobile unit.
