National Sports Day celebrated at COPS

The National Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and energy at Coorg Public school and Pre-University College, Gonikoppa, to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of sports and physical activities in our daily lives.

The day began with a vibrant assembly, where students and staff gathered to mark the importance of sports and physical fitness in daily life. The event was inaugurated by the Principal Dr M Ramchandran, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of sports in building character, discipline, and teamwork among youth.

Sports Captain, M M Kutappa administered the Sports Day pledge, which was taken with pride by all present, reinforcing the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork. A Badminton match organized for both students and staff members. The matches were held in a friendly yet competitive spirit, drawing loud cheers and encouragement from the audience.

It was a delightful sight to see that the students and teachers playing side by side, promoting unity and mutual respect through sports
