In a remarkable step towards enhancing digital literacy and 21st-century skills among students, COPS inaugurated its Coding Lab recently. The ceremony was graced by the President of the School Trust, K Dhanya Subbaiah who formally inaugurated the lab, and
was presided over by the Principal Dr.M.Ramachandran.

The event began with a warm welcome by Spoorthy, Head of the Department, who emphasized the importance of coding for the students of this generation. She highlighted how coding fosters problem-solving, logical thinking, and creativity-skills crucial in the modern digital era. A traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed, symbolizing the beginning of a bright new chapter in the school’s academic journey. The lamp was lit by the President, Principal, Vice Principals, Academic Coordinators, and the Coding Instructor. In his address, the principal extended heartfelt gratitude to the management for their vision and support in setting up the lab.

The facility is equipped with 20 brand-new laptops, offering students hands-on experience in programming and computational thinking. The inaugural ceremony concluded with a demonstration class by the Coding Instructor, giving attendees a glimpse into the innovative teaching methods and interactive learning that students will experience. The initiative marks a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to preparing students for a technology-driven future.
