Kodagu-Mysore MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar announced that work on the Mysore-Kushalnagar Expressway will begin shortly. He stated that three of the four work packages have already started, while one awaits environmental clearance. Speaking at a program organized by the Kodagu District Working Journalists’ Association, he emphasized the need for state government cooperation in infrastructure and tourism development in Kodagu.

Yaduveer mentioned that land has been identified for an airstrip in Kushalnagar and that work is underway to improve drinking water supply under the Amrut project. Efforts are also being made to improve BSNL services with ISRO technology. He raised concerns about the infiltration of Bangladeshis disguised as Assamese workers in Kodagu, promising to bring the issue to the attention of the Union Home Ministry. Former MLA K.G. Bopaiah praised Yaduveer’s commitment to development.
