MLA A.S. Ponnanna performed the Bhoomi Pooja to commence construction work for new rooms at Mayamudi Government School, with a special grant of Rs79 lakh from Karnataka Energy Minister K.J. George, an alumnus of the school. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA stressed the importance of quality education and urged parents and teachers to collaborate for the children’s future. He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing modern facilities in schools.
Present were District Guarantee Implementation President Dharmaja Uthappa, former MLC Arun Machayya, Ponnampet Block Congress President Miderira Naveen, former ZP member BanandaPratyu, Mayamudi Panchayat President Tatu Monnappa, Gonikoppa Panchayat President Kullachanda Pramod Ganapathy, local leaders, school principals, faculty, and community members.
