Kodagu Deputy Commissioner Venkat Raja visited the Somwarpet Taluk Office to review the status of land security and the digitization of revenue records. He instructed the Tahsildar and staff to implement the digital land record initiative and ensure efficient service delivery.
The DC also held a review meeting with taluk-level officials on disaster preparedness and emphasized seamless coordination across departments due to early and heavy rains. He called for urgent assessments of buildings used for Anganwadis, schools, and colleges, and instructed that estimates be prepared for buildings in need of repair. He stressed that any damage due to natural disasters must be promptly addressed, and compensation disbursed without delays.
Assistant Commissioner Vinayak Narvade, ZP Deputy Secretary Abdul Nabi, Tahsildar Krishnamurthy, TP EO Paramesh, and other officials were present.
