Monisha Rai, a student of F.M..K.M.Cariappa College, Madikeri, secured the first rank for the state in the final degree examination in Biology conducted by Mangalore University and won the Carmine Lobo Gold Medal. Monisha Rai was awarded the medal at the 43rd annual convocation of Mangalore University which was held recently.
Monisha Rai C S is the first daughter of Shivananda Rai and Gunavati Rai, of Bailady family of Chikkattur village near Harangi in Kushalnagar taluk.
Major Prof. B. Raghava, Principal of F.M. K. M.Cariappa College, and the teaching and non-teaching staff congratulated Monisha.
