20 edition of Sakhamuri Golf Championship was recently held at Mercara Downs Golf Club (MDGC). Over 100 golfers participated in this premier event in the calendar of MDGC which was played over two days.
K A Anil Kumar of Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar Golf Club (JWGC) won the coveted open strokeplay title with a gross score of 72.
Mali Shashikiran was declared the runner up with a gross score of 74.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at the club house of MDGC. Chief Guest of the event Nagarjun Sakhamuri and Prasanth Sakhamuri were on the dais along with the Captain of the club I K Anil, Hon Secretary of the club Harish Appanna and Tournament Committee Chairman K P Ranjith.
I K Anil welcomed the gathering and thanked the Sakhamuri brothers for their association with MDGC for 20 years. Nagarjun Sakhamuri speaking on the occasion said that they were glad to be associated with MDGC. Ranjit announced the names of the winners.
Nagarjun Sakhamuri, Prasant Sakhamuri, I K Anil, Geeta Sakhamuri and Padmaja Sakhamuri gave away the prizes. Prasanth Sakhamuri and Prahlad Rao spoke on the occasion. K P Ranjith proposed the vote of thanks.
