Kodava Racing made its national debut after registering as a team entrant with the FMSCI for the season 2026-27 season and entering the Blueband Sports FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship, putting Kodagu on the national rallying stage.
At the Rally of Coimbatore, the team delivered strong results.
In the Gypsy Challenge, Mekerira Kariappa and Abhinav Ganapathy secured first, Avin Nanjappa and Abhilash Sudhindra took second, Chetan Chengappa and Sujith Chengappa finished third, and Kavan Kariappa and Gaurav Aiyappa finished sixth. Cheppudira Machaiah also won the Gypsy category’s Tuner’s Trophy.
In the Classic Challenge, Lavan Poonacha MP and Ruthwick BH secured first.
In INRC 3T, Kokkengada Darshan Nachappa and Madapanda Kushalappa finished fifth, while Baljinder Singh Dhillon and Goutham CP finished sixth.
Kodava Racing acknowledged the support of its partners, with Kalimada Kushalappa of BMC Air Filters supporting the team as its Performance Partner, while Kokken Robotics serves as its Technology and Digital Partner.
The third round, the Robusta Rally, will be held in Coorg from November 20-22, 2026, across the Tata Coffee estates.
More Kodava Racing drivers are expected to participate as the team targets valuable points towards the Team Championship.
