Dev Uthaiah wins open title

CGL Amrut Golf Championship was recently held at Coorg Golf Links (CGL), Bittangala. Around 95 golfers participated in this event held over two days. Dev Uthaiah won the coveted open stroke play event with a gross score of 77. Mali Shashikiran was the runner up with a gross score of 79.

The other results of the tournament are as under:

Open Strokeplay over 18 holes Winner :  Dev Uthaiah ( 77 gross)

Runner-Up: Mali Sashi Kiran (79 gross)

Handicap Strokeplay over 18 holes (0-18)  Winner:  Kollira Aiyapa (69 Net)

Runner-Up: Devkumar (71 Net)

Handicap Stableford over 18 holes (19-24) –  Winner: Kedarnath Mudda ( 32 points)

Runner-Up:  Maj Gen S K Kariapa(32points)

The prize distribution ceremony was held at the club house of CGL. Captain of the club K S Uthaiah, Hon Secretary of the club Lt Col Bharat Chevur were present on the dais along with the chief guest of the event Ashok Chokkalingam. K S Uthaiah welcomed the gathering. Ashok Chokkalingam also spoke on the occasion. Lt Col Bharat Chevur announced the names of the winners. Ashok Chokkalingam and K S Uthaiah gave away the prizes. Lt Col Bharat Chevur proposed the vote of thanks.
