ADC directs officials to provide basic facilities to beekeepers

Recently at a video conference interaction was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) R. Aishwarya regarding providing ration card, Aadhaar card, caste and income certificate, electricity connection and other basic facilities to the tribal community living on the edge of forest and forest.

Speaking on the occasion R. Aishwarya directed that urgent action should be taken to provide essential basic facilities to the beekeeping community as decided in a meeting held in Bangalore under the chairmanship of Chief Minister (CM) Siddaramaiah, and immediate action should be taken for the families who are yet to be provided with basic facilities.

Honne gowda, officer of the Integrated Tribal Welfare Department, said that there are more than 9 thousand beekeepers are in the district and more than 3000 beekeeper families were residing here. Already 8,710 people have been given Aadhar card. Besides, more than 500 people need to get Aadhaar card. Necessary action will be taken in this regard, he informed.

The ADC directed the deputy director of food department to take quick action to provide ration cards to the families who have not received the ration cards so far.

She informed Revenue department officials to take immediate action to provide caste and income certificate which will help them in applying for school admissions and forvarious other facilities. In this regard, R. Aishwarya gave strict instructions to Tahsildar to take immediate action and submit a report.

She also said to the ITDP departmental officials to identify the families who need to get the caste and income certificate and inform them to make arrangements for that

ADC also directed to provide electricity connections to the families where tribals are living and instructed not to delay for any reason as the Chief Minister has already given a directive and advised the forest department officials to cooperate as well.

Drinking water and road connectivity should be provided to the tribal hadies. R. Aishwarya directed that the concerned department officials to provide necessary basic facilities so that complaints should not come from the tribal people.

ZPAA Engineers Naik, Suresh Kumar, CHESCOM AEE Vinay Kumar, Tahsildars Praveen Kumar, Ramachandra, Mohan Kumar, Kiran Gouraiah, Sridhara, Kiran from Food Department were present.
