Previously, treatment of aortic valve stenosis (narrowing of the heart valves) was only possible by opening the chest.

Speaking further Dr. Dr. Sharath Babu also said informed about Leadless Pacemaker: A Revolution in Heart Rhythm Management which is another revolutionary procedure is the Leadless Pacemaker – a great alternative to traditional pacemakers. But leadless pacemakers are implanted directly into the heart through a vascular axis, reducing the risk of infections and other complications associated with invasive procedures. With a battery life of about 10-12 years, it is a promising option for the elderly for managing irregular heartbeats.

He also said they emphasize the importance of preventive care;especially fatal heart attacks occur at a very young age. 50% of heart attacks occur below the age of 50 years in our country he added.  Regular screenings and consultations with a cardiologist remain important to maintain good heart health to detect underlying risks and avoid cardiac events, he said.
