The intensity of rain has increased in Madikeri and the City Municipal Council (CMC) has already issued a notice to those living in the danger places.
CMC Commissioner Vijay said that if the residents who do not move despite being told to safe places, the CMC willnot be responsible for the calamities that may occur in the future.
Information has been received from the Meteorological Department that the intensity of rain will be even higher in the coming days, and people living in unsafe areas, low-lying areas and near trees have been requested to move to safer places.
