Rajaseat Development Committee meeting held

Rajaseat Development Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Kodagu Deputy commissioner(DC) Dr Venkat Raja at his office hall Madikeri recently.

A lengthy discussion regarding the development of Coorg Village took place in the meeting. DC advised the concerned officials to take necessary steps to construct a shelter near the ticket counter at the entrance of Rajaseat to facilitate the tourists. 

DC instructed Public Works Department to hand over the pending works related to the development of Greater Rajaseat and suggested that lighting arrangements should be made wherever necessary. 

Dr Venkat Raja directed that necessary action should be taken including getting water connection from the City Municipal Council (CMC). 

Speaking on the occasion Deputy Director of Horticulture Department, Yogeesh informed that necessary steps have already been taken for the development of Rajaseat, Coorg Village, Gadduge Park and Nehru Mantappa.

For the current year, Rajaseat Park management and development related action plan was approved in the meeting. 

Anita Bhaskar, Deputy Director of Tourism Department, speaking on the occasion, suggested that information should be provided through LED board about the tourist places of the district in Rajaseat for the benefits of tourists.

Assistant Commissioner Vinayak Narwade, Executive Assistant Engineer of Public Works Department Sathish, Planning Director of Construction Centre Sachin, Environmental Engineer of Municipal Council Soumya, Senior Assistant Director of Horticulture Department Muthappa spoke on the occasion and gave important development information regarding Rajaseat.
