Recently Sundar B.K, a resident of Sulugale Colony under Shanivarsanthe Police Station, locked his house and went to work in the afternoon. Sundar’s daughter came home and saw that the cupboard inside the house was broken and 51.5 grams of gold jewellery was stolen. After complaint filed by Sundar at Shanivarsanthe police station the police collected information and started investigation.Â
Accordingly, Police after investigation, arrested Jeevan (25), a resident of Sulugale village, seized 45 grams of gold ornaments from him and produced him in the court. During the interrogation of the accused, it has come to light that he also opened the lock of the office of Sri Vijaya Vinayaka Temple of Thiagaraja Colony in Shanivasantheand broken the offering box and stole money from it.
District Superintendent of Police Ramarajan has praised Somarapet DYSP Gangadharappa Circle Inspector Pritam, Shanivarsanthepolice station officers Ravi Shankar and Govind Raj and staff of the police station for arresting the accused in very short time.Â
