Neravanda and Manavatteera win

In the recently concluded Aramanamada Cricket Namme 2024 held at Vijayalakshmi PU College ground in Balele,Neravanda and Manavatteera teams won the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.

The ground was flooded due to heavy rains. As a result, the final was held after 3 pm and owing to the paucity of time, the number of overs was reduced to six per side.

In the men’s final between Neravanda and Acchapanda, Neravanda won by nine wickets and emerged as champions.

Batting first, Acchapanda scored 36/7. Chasing the target, Neravanda won with 37/1 in 3.4 overs. Prashanth won the Man of the Match.

In the women’s category,Manavatteera team won against Mukkateera (Harihara) by 25 runs and emergedas champions,

The valedictory of the tournament was inaugurated by Olympian Ashwini Nachappa and Aramanamada family president and retired SP Suresh presided over the programme.
