Strongly condemning the alleged deadly attack on Bajrang Dal activists who had reportedly attempted to protect cattle in Shikaripura of Shivamogga district, leaders of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal’s Kodagu district unit submitted a petition to the government through the District Magistrate, demanding strict legal action.

According to the petition, cow vigilantes who allegedly attempted to stop a vehicle transporting cattle illegally in Shikaripura were attacked with deadly weapons.

The activists were injured in the incident and vehicles were also damaged. The petition described the incident as a matter of serious concern.

The petition demanded the immediate arrest of all those accused of attacking the cow vigilantes, as well as those allegedly involved in planning the incident, and called for strict legal action against them.

It also sought the effective implementation of the Karnataka Cattle Slaughter Prevention and Protection Act, 2020.
