Under the self-employment programme implemented for Scheduled Tribe indigenous communities belonging to the Jenu Kuruba community, financial assistance amounting to Rs. 18 lakh has been released to nine beneficiaries for the purchase of rafting boats and equipment, at the rate of Rs. 2 lakh each.
Deputy Director of Tourism Shashidhar H. renewed and handed over licenses to the nine beneficiaries, who had purchased rafting boats and equipment, enabling them to continue rafting operations at Dubare.
