Drug Sale and Supply: Accused Arrested

The Kodagu District Police have succeeded in identifying persons who were illegally selling and supplying prohibited narcotics within the limits of the Madikeri Rural Police Station.

The department had been receiving complaints from the public regarding the sale of narcotics in various parts of Kodagu district. In order to prevent the sale, supply, and use of prohibited narcotics, action was initiated based on specific information about the illegal sale and supply of the narcotic drug ganja on the road leading from Cinchona in Ibbivalavadi village to Makkandur Kada, under the jurisdiction of the Madikeri Rural Police Station.

Accordingly, on April 28, 2026, at 6:00 a.m., the Madikeri Rural Police registered a case under the NDPS Act. Three accused persons have been apprehended, produced before the court, and legal action has been initiated against them.
