Foundation Stone Laid for Virajpet CESC Sub-Divisional Office Building

Virajpet MLA and Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor Ajjikuttira S. Ponnanna laid the foundation stone for the new building of the Virajpet Sub-Divisional CESC Office.      The project is part of efforts to improve electricity infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted power supply for consumers and farmers in the constituency. The MLA had secured a special grant for strengthening power facilities in the region.

The Bhoomi Puja for the new building was performed, and the MLA expressed hope that the construction would be completed soon and the facility made available for public use.

Officials informed that a retaining wall will also be constructed near the building. The project is being undertaken at an estimated cost of ?1.39 crore, while an overall grant of ?2.5 crore has been sanctioned for the building.

Ponnanna appreciated the efforts of power department staff working round the clock to ensure quality electricity supply. District Guarantee Implementation Committee Chairman Thithira Dharmaja Uthappa, Block Chairman and former Municipal Council member Pattada Ranji Poonachha, Kalianda Sampan Ayyappa, Kundachira Manju Devaiah, Mahadeva, Cheku, Narendra Kamath, Nasir, Manjunath, Samad, department officials, staff and local leaders were present.
