Kodagu Deputy Commissioner S.J. Somashekhar recently visited and inspected the construction work of the Kodava Heritage Centre (Kodava Heritage Centre) and the Karnataka Suvarna Samuchaya Bhavan which were under construction in Madikeri .
The Deputy Commissioner, who visited and inspected the Kodava Heritage Centre, advised that any work, including the interior and exterior development of the building, should be done by submitting an estimate at one time and accordingly fund will be released, he said.

The Kodava Heritage Center has been built on the model of an Ainmane. The Ainmane holds a venerable place in Kodagu district. Executive Engineer K.T. Prabhu informed that the Kodava Heritage Center is helpful in conducting Kodava culture and heritage activities.
The Kodava Heritage Center also includes a museum. In the first phase, Rs. 3 crore was released. Now, Rs. 4.95 crore has been proposed to the government for release, said the Public Works Department EE.
Later, after visiting the Karnataka Suvarna Samuchaya Bhavan, Deputy Commissioner S.J. Somashekar said that the pending Rs. 1.40 crore from the Border Development Authority will be released and instructed the Public Works Department engineer to complete the work at the earliest.

The offices of the Kalamandira, Art Gallery, Kannada and Culture Department, Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy and Arebhashe Sahitya Academy will be shifted to the Karnataka Suvarna Samuchaya Bhavan, informed Kumar, Assistant Director of the Kannada and Culture Department. Assistant Executive Engineer Girish and Satish of the Public Works Department, Jatin, Consultant of the Tourism Department, and others were present on the occasion.
