A delegation of ex-servicemen from Kaluru village (Mutth Nad) met Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda and submitted a memorandum regarding their demands.

The MLA assured them that their demands were reasonable and would be addressed. District President of Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj Organisation Thennira Maina and Omkareshwar Temple Committee President Chummi Devaiah were present.
