Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda made a surprise visit to the District Hospital here on Thursday following complaints regarding inconvenience to patients and alleged discourteous behavior by hospital staff.
During the inspection, the MLA issued strict instructions to medical officers and staff to treat patients and their relatives with courtesy and respect. He stressed the importance of responding promptly and empathetically to those seeking medical care.
Dr. Mantar Gowda later interacted with patients and enquired about the facilities being provided at the hospital. He directed the hospital authorities to immediately address shortcomings and ensure a people-friendly environment within the hospital premises.
