The Senior Citizens’ Forum recently organised a get-together at the premises of Bal Bhavan at Madikeri.
Dr. Chetan G.D., a medical practitioner, participated as the chief guest and delivered a Power Point presentation offering useful health guidance for senior citizens.
Forum President Konganda A. Thimmaiah presided over the programme, delivered the welcome address and spoke on the occasion.
During the event, the founding president of the Kiggattunadu Senior Citizens’ Forum, Katimada Jimmy Annayya, was warmly felicitated. Various games and recreational competitions were arranged for the members, who took part with great enthusiasm.
P.P. Somanna introduced the guests, while I.S. Aravind introduced the felicitation honouree. B.S. Chengappa proposed the vote of thanks. The games session was conducted by Vasanthi Poovanna and Viju Nanjappa. Shobha Subbayya offered the prayer. Vice President Leela Chinnappa, Joint Secretary Gangamma, Babu Somayya, Kiggattunadu Senior Citizens’ Forum President Somanna along with his executive committee members and several others were present.
