The Bank of Baroda, Madikeri branch, has disbursed an insurance amount of Rs 10 lakh to the family of Head Constable Vijay M.N., who died of a heart attack on August 6, 2025, while serving with the District Armed Reserve Police, Kodagu.
Vijay was enrolled under the Police Salary Package Scheme of the Bank of Baroda, through which he received his monthly salary. His wife Ratnamma C, the nominee of his account, received the cheque handed over jointly by Kodagu SP K. Ramarajan, IPS, Additional SP Dinesh Kumar B.P., Regional Manager (Puttur Region) Sai Ganesh Ujjina, Defence Banking Advisor Air Cmde Tarun Kumar Sinha, and Chief Manager Deepti C. of the Madikeri branch.
Officials informed that steps have also been initiated to provide compassionate appointment to Ratnamma.
